In February, Zhavia Whitaker was held for the first time by MaeDell Taylor Hawkins when she was just seven months old.
It was the first time this 98-year-old Kentucky matriarch of a vast family had ever met her first great-great-great-grandchild.
A quick internet viral video of the occurrence was shared by granddaughter Gracie Snow Howell. Between her daughters’ offspring and their own, MaeDell now has about 620 grandkids. We thought this was special because it only had girls in it.
The photograph displays the great-granddaughters of MaeDell Frances Snow, Jacqueline Ledford, Jaisline Wilson, and Gracie Snow Howell. The picture was taken by Sheryl Blessing, Hawkins’ granddaughter.

MaeDell turns 99 years old in July. She married a fifty-year-old railroad worker in 1940 when she was sixteen years old. He had ten children from a previous marriage.
Bill Taylor, her spouse, traveled frequently for work. The two nonetheless produced 13 children together, none of whom had access to many contemporary conveniences, according to Gracie. There was no washing machine or dryer in the residence.

“I know she had it hard, but she didn’t complain,” Gracie remarked to People.
Gracie continued, saying she’d never heard her mother Frances complain about their lack of material possessions. This image of six generations of women attests to the fact that MaeDell’s love and support have undoubtedly resulted in decades of contented, healthy women and children.

Gracie told Fox News, “If all goes well, we’re going to meet back in June and get another picture; the baby’s doing well, and Grandma’s doing well.”
The grandmother of Kentucky is said to have 37 great-great-great-grandchildren who reside outside of Kentucky, in addition to her 106 grandchildren, 222 great-grandchildren, and 234 great-great-grandchildren.
We find it hard to imagine living on such a small income and raising so many amazing kids. Kindly provide your thoughts by submitting a comment below!
