There is no love lost between Amy Duggar and her cousin Josh Duggar. Amy has always been the outspoken member of the family, never mincing words when it comes to how she feels about her famous 19 Kids and Counting cousins. Most of Amy’s anger rightfully lands on her uncle Jim Bob Duggar and cousin Josh due to Josh’s arrest and history with child sexual abuse.

She has condemned her uncle for the way he has used his religious beliefs against his daughters, particularly Jill Duggar, who has also spoken about the abuse she’s endured. With Josh still in prison, it’s no surprise that Amy has some choice words about him.

Amy certainly didn’t hold back.

“I hope every day there is absolute torture for him,” Amy told People. “I really hope that because what he watched and what he was viewing for his own fulfillment is those kids experiencing torture.”

She didn’t leave it there, adding, “He deserves every second in there, and I hope he gets a longer term. I hope he messes up again.”

Josh was sentenced to serve more than 12 years in prison.

Josh was arrested three years ago for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials. He was convicted in December 2021 and in May 2022, was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison. He tried to appeal the sentence and was denied, with an extra two months being added to his sentence. Josh is currently serving out his sentence at FCI Seagoville Federal Prison in Texas and will likely be there until October 2032.

Amy has gone no-contact with her cousin.

His child pornography case was the last straw. Since his time as a reality star began, Josh has been embroiled in several scandals. First, he made headlines for allegedly molesting young girls, including several of his sisters. Then he admitted to cheating on wife Anna Duggar using sites like Ashley Madison, after his name was included in a leak.

Because of his past, Amy doesn’t “know if he’s doing any work” to improve himself while he’s in prison.

“I have not spoken to him, and I will not. I will not,” she said. “When you just cross those evil lines like that, there is no coming back. I just think there’s no coming back.”

Josh isn’t the only family member Amy has lost contact with.

Amy also hasn’t had contact with Josh’s wife Anna, who Josh shares seven kids with, either. That’s not for a lack of trying. Amy has been quite vocal about her desire to help Anna and her kids since Josh went to prison. However, Amy ran into Anna last year at a funeral and it was not a happy reunion.

“I was shocked to see her. I just looked at her and I said, ‘Anna,’ and she was like, ‘I just need space.’ That’s all she said to me,” Amy shared.

Amy has made it clear she wants to support Anna however she can.

“I understand, I can’t speak for Anna and I’m not going to try, but I can’t imagine what she has to deal with internally, let alone out for the world to see,” she said. “It’s heartbreaking in every direction and I just respected the fact that she needed space and I didn’t try to push any further.”

She went on, “I wanted to say a whole lot. I wanted to say tons of things, but in that moment it wasn’t obviously the right location. It wasn’t the right timing and I didn’t want to make a scene and I didn’t want to do that or draw attention to anything and clearly respect her so I didn’t. But if you ask me, I think she is mad. I do. I think she’s just really, really mad.”
